Serves 8 people
INGREDIENTS
1lb pork sausage (click here for sausage I use)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
4 cups milk
Salt, pepper, parsley to taste
HOW TO MAKE GRAVY:
Over high heat, sauté sausage until fully cooked then set aside.
In a pot over high heat, melt butter then whisk in flour stirring constantly. Whisk bubbly mixture until golden brown and it smells like toast, then whisk in all the milk.
Season the mixture with salt, pepper and parsley flakes to taste.
Slowly whisk and bring to a slow boil then remove from heat.
Add sausage with the fat, stir to combine, then serve over homemade biscuits or omelette.
